About the author

Alexis Collado is a digital product designer at Kalibrr, helping transform the way candidates find jobs and companies hire talent. His podcast, Roots, tells the stories of the great Filipino designers he’s met. He also co-hosts the UX Almusal podcast with Christian San Jose. He’s the co-founder of UX+, the biggest UX conference in Asia.

During his stay at Ateneo, he founded the first student UX organization in the Philippines — User Experience Society.

Today, UX Society has chapters in Ateneo de Manila University, Chapman University in California, De La Salle University, Ateneo de Davao University, University of Santo Tomas, and Yale University.

Alexis interned for award-winning companies like Jump Digital, Freelancer.com, NuWorks Interactive Labs, Agoda, and Edukasyon.ph.

He writes about leadership, design, and personal development. In his free time, he enjoys playing a ton of badminton doubles, reading books, taking photos, and meeting new people.
